The historical homepage introduced Kristin Pavelka Pottery in a direct, conversational voice and centered the site on functional pottery with highly decorated surfaces.

That short welcome is the clearest statement of the portfolio's purpose. It placed useful pots first: objects intended for daily meals, shared tables, and special occasions, with decoration treated as integral to use rather than as a separate layer. The original sentence also emphasized a one-person studio practice. Those are dated 2022 statements, not claims about the artist's current practice.

A portfolio, not a shop

The historical page once continued with a Minnesota studio location, a commercial gallery, an appointment invitation, an email address, a social profile, and a mailing-list button. Those contact and transaction surfaces have been removed. They are not needed to understand the site's historical subject, and reintroducing them could make an old page look like a current studio website.

The original navigation moved from home to galleries, a shop, biographical material, a statement, and contact. Gallery and biography pages remain available at their historical addresses, while the former shop is not presented as a sales flow. The Gallery and Pottery Gallery 1 show the portfolio organization; About, Biography, and Resume carry the written material.

How to read the images

The images are editorial studies of generic ceramics. They are not Kristin Pavelka's work and should not be used for attribution, authentication, appraisal, or sales. Readers researching ceramic objects can compare dated records through a public museum collection search; that kind of record keeps maker, material, date, and provenance distinct.
