Spring is knocking on the door in Minnesota. Finally! I caught a glimpse of a sedum popping out of the frozen ground, and my work spaces are on the verge of flooding from melting snow, so I know winter is on it's way out.
And with spring, comes a flurry of events! First, I'll be showing at the Seasons on St. Croix Gallery in the beautiful Hudson, WI, April 5- 29 alongside a weaver, basketmaker and painter. What a fun mix! If you are in the Louisville, KY area in the next month, I have two bourbon bottles in the Bluegrass Bourbon show at the Museum of Arts and Crafts. I'll be giving a workshop on Etsy at the Northern Clay Center, Saturday April 20. Come pick my brain. I won't hold back. I'm excited to announce my SPRING POTTERY SALE from my home showroom! One day only, Saturday, April 28 from 10 am to 5 pm. I've been having a blast in the studio the past few months playing with new forms, techniques, and surface treatments, and I believe I'm ready to debut the results. In addition to new work, I'll have a wabi sabi table and older work that will be priced to move. It's that time of year again. Frost covers the ground in the morning, a nip is in the air, trees and shrubs are naked, and Christmas music is starting to get heavy rotation in stores and on the radio. It's also the time of year for sales, sales, sales, and I'm excited to announce that I'll be hosting my 1st Annual Home Studio Holiday Sale, Saturday December 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.!! In addition to my candy coated earthenware delights, I'll be serving up a little wabi sabi pottery table as well as Kidwares...pots for small hands. Come one, come all! Poke around my (almost) finished studio and gallery, pick my brain, enjoy a good eat or two. Please contact me with further questions.
Holy moley, it's October! That means it's time for the fabulous Western Wisconsin Pottery Tour, THIS weekend!!! I'll be showing at the wonderful Wendy Olson and Jay Jensen's studio. I've been experimenting with new forms and firing temperatures and will be unveiling the fruits of my labor at the sale. Stop by and say hi!
What else....hitting the magazine shelves next week is the newest issue of Pottery Making Illustrated, and YES! My work graces the cover! Open the pages to learn how I make the fancy schmancy utensil handles. Lastly, three years and 2 awesome boys later, I will be reopening my Etsy store. Once again my work will be available for purchase online. Finally! Look for new works next week. |
